Mdf buildings ...28mm
Mdf and foam board ...
I bought some cheap e bay mdf buildings (15 GB pounds) and I will supplement them with foam board. The scale is 28mm.
But I am having to spend some time engraving in some more detail. The base is plastic but with engraved pavements. The building is one piece of the 4 sections (4 sections = one house).
Below: large factory - producing war kit for the axis (target number one for the allies!!!). We need to add perspex widows etc.
Above:The Berlin Strasse is a great MDF kit with loads of detail ....so trying to replicate it with mdf and foamboard is a challenge . Matching the same footprint is a challenge on foambaord stability.
So I decided to make it in four sections rather than 6 (Berlin Strasse). These means it wont fall over easily.
Above: The engraving of detail onto the mdf and foamboard. Engraved details like the broken plaster, bullet holes and pavement add to the model.
Have a look at the final Stalingrad game pictures on this blog - and see how the final mat ended up.
