Stalingrad 28mm corrigated iron sheets.

So we are preparing for Carronade at Falkirk 2019.

28mm Stalingrad

We will be showing our Stalingrad factory. But we thought our factory needed some more detail because the roof was gone (to allow acces) but we had no roof debris. So we had a look at some of the materials available... A4 plastic sheet is good but expensive, plus it would need to be cut up. So in the end we came up with this idea...

MAKING CORRIGATED IRON SHEET.

We photographed some sheets then sized them to 28mm. We then copied them. Then kept copying until we had a large sheet at 28mm.

So we then printed out the sheets, took a nice think cardboard and sandwiched between the photo sheets. We tried pva but found pret sticks better for sticking them together. We then cut them out.

When doing this we also cut them out at different sizes , shapes in 2,'s  4s etc.

At this point you can stop...but you will notice that the cardboard edges pop out. So we decided to paint all the edges with rust.

The good thing about cardboard is that you can bend the edges to make it look better and run a rust line of paint along the bend line.

I think these will compliment our brick rubble very nicely.

This method could also be used for gamers that are into "junk yard" style games.

So we will post some pictures of Carronade and let people see the results. See the Stalingrad game report for more pictures.
