28mm US Cavarly

 Ok so I know this isn't WW2 but after painting the WW2 German Cavalry I wanted to do some more horses... but at the recent Claymore Show I couldn't find any WW2...so I headed West. Way out west...

                                                    I tried to get some colour variatation on the horses...

The interesting thing I found out when researching colours was ... was that in the John Ford cavalry trilogy (She wore a yellow ribbon...etc.) movies - he decided to get his cavalry in white hats...rather than historical blue/black....why? he was asked are they in white hats ? 

"because good guys were white" was his answer. LOL.. "and it looks better on camera."

Not exactly my usual theme but an interesting departure from the normal khaki dabs...LOL. But good fun.
