As a follow up to the last post, in addition to the trenches - I also got some more M4A1 Sherman's and I then printed out the snorkel exhausts from my own printer.
These came from 3D print valley (without exhaust snorkels).
The tanks come surprisingly in 4 parts see below.
Meanwhile the Les Moulins side of the Omaha board has had a coat of base colour. Now the trenches are cut to size.
We still need to match it on the right side to the other board.
We also tried out the bunker (made from foam) by sinking it into the board. We are still to do the roof.
More flock and static grass needed!
Nice progress there GW...those 3d Sherman tanks look superb....might have check out that supplier....
ReplyDeleteRRoss..Yes they have really nice details and they were good value for money...they were 30 GB pounds delivered for two. Not much assembly required...as opposed to the plastic Warlord or Rubicon kits they are 23-27 GBP ish for only one. So if you don't want to build one...its a no brainer. But having built both Rubicon and Warlord plastic ... i actually preferred the 3d print. You just need to get decals. But if you want to start heating and bender fenders -inflicting some damage, opening hatches etc...maybe plastic is your choice.
DeleteYip, I am a big fan of 3d printing, I have not been disappointed yet! JJG in France are pretty good value too
